For several years now, Samsung has celebrated Earth Day by adding a new lineup of flagships to its “Certified Re-Newed” program. The company appears to be changing up its schedule, however, as the mainline Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are both now available months ahead of schedule.
Refurbished Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 units are now available directly through Samsung’s online store, starting at $709 for a 256GB variant of the base model. Buyers won’t see a massive amount of savings from these models compared to typical S25 prices — especially if they’re buying through carrier deals or with trade-in credit — but for those shoppers who don’t mind trading away brand-new status to save some cash on their devices, this is a welcome surprise ahead of the holiday shopping season.
Here are the prices and current availability for Samsung’s Certified Re-Newed Galaxy S25 and Z Fold 6 models:
You’ll notice the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy Z Flip 6 aren’t included in this list; while both have listings on Samsung’s store, they’re currently displayed as out of stock.
These are some pretty excellent deals, but as usual, there are a couple of potential caveats you’ll need to know about before buying. Galaxy S25 buyers are limited to just one color choice on each phone — Blueblack on the base and Plus models, Titanium Jetblack on the Ultra — while Fold 6 shoppers can pick between Crafted Black and Silver Shadow. On the support side, each includes a 1-year warranty backed by Samsung alongside the company’s typical update policy. Any repairs prior to selling the device are made using genuine parts and includes a fresh battery. You can also use trade-in values to bring these prices even lower.
While Earth Day often serves as a poetic launch window for Samsung’s previous hardware series to hit refurbished status, this earlier launch — especially as we approach Black Friday — can only be good news for consumers.
