It’s been just over a year since the follow-up to AAWireless’s original wireless Android Auto dongles dropped, and while we’ve seen a handful of discounts in the months since, it’s just dropped to its lowest price ever ahead of Black Friday.
AAWireless TWO is currently available for just $44, bringing the price down by about a third from its $65 MSRP and more than $10 off the price point it’s held since October. That’s about as affordable as you’ll find an adapter like this, bringing wireless Android Auto to any supported HUD unit that might typically rely on a wired connection. Speaking as someone who upgraded to a vehicle with native wireless Auto support this year, let me tell you: it’s worth every penny to avoid dealing with cables in your car, especially on shorter drives where it might not typically be worth the trouble.
AAWireless’s follow-up to its original adapter offers a couple of key improvements, including a smaller design and a built-in button to make swapping between connected phones a little easier. That said, there’s no CarPlay support here — something the original supported as a beta feature — so if you or your fellow drivers ever rock an iPhone, you’ll want to turn your attention to the TWO+, AAWireless’s newest adapter that initially launched last month. Unfortunately, despite a recent Amazon listing, that upgraded module is listed as “currently unavailable.”
This discount brings the price down to match Motorola’s MA1 adapter, the closest competitor to AAWireless in terms of name brand options. Amazon does offer a broad selection of no-name options that match or undercut the price seen here, although in most cases, those options come with questionable support options. Either way, it’s the best time of the year to pick up one of these adapters, whether for you or as a gift for a loved one.
