Pixel 10 Pro users today might have received a survey from Google to help improve the thermometer.
Sent by “Google Pixel,” the company is specifically asking about Body Temperature Sensing. The survey will “help Google understand how the Pixel Thermometer Application (Thermometer app) is used in the real world.”
Google wants to better “understand the Body Temperature Sensor (BTS)’s real-world performance, and may share it with regulatory authorities to comply with Google’s post-market surveillance obligations for this medical device.”
It starts by asking whether you’ve used the Thermometer to measure body temperature in the past year. We’ve replicated the “how often” question below:
This rather in-depth survey asks whether the information has been valuable and how easy it is to use. Of note is a question about “how many measurements do you usually take to be confident in the result”: 1, 2, 3-4, or 5+.
Google also asks whether you’ve seen any error messages and about the Fitbit integration, with open fields for feedback about how the data is shown and what you like most/least about the overall experience.
The Thermometer has been around for three generations since the Pixel 8 Pro at this point. For Google, its continued inclusion feels rather noteworthy, though these phones do have long development periods.
