Alphabet today reported Q3 2025 earnings, and CEO Sundar Pichai shared that the Gemini app has over 650 million active users.
Earlier this year, court documents revealed that Gemini had 350 million monthly active users as of March 2025, and that it was only 90 million in October 2024.
A report at the start of this year said that Pichai set a goal for 500 million users by the end of 2025. Today’s figures should just be for the standalone Gemini app and not other integrations. It’s available on Android, iOS, and the web.
In September, Google credited the Nano Banana image generation and editing model for driving 23 million new Gemini app users.
Google reported over 100 million users for AI Mode this July before the broad international rollout.
Meanwhile, Google shared it has “over 300 million paid subscriptions led by Google One and YouTube Premium.” In May, Google One had 150 million subscribers, while YouTube Premium last reported 100 million subscribers in February of 2024.
Q3 2025 is notable for being Alphabet’s first-ever $100 billion quarter, with 102.3 billion in revenue in a 16% year-over-year increase. There was double-digit growth from Google Search & other, YouTube ads, Google subscriptions, platforms, and devices, and Google Cloud.
