As of December 2024, 29 entities have the no-objection certificate (NOC) required to provide international SIMs and global calling cards to Indians travelling abroad. This is part of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) consultation paper on the regulatory framework for the sale of foreign telecom service providers’ SIM/eSIM cards for use in M2M/IoT devices meant for export purposes.
