On July 10, the Supreme Court directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to accept Aadhaar cards, Elector’s Photo Identity Cards (EPIC), and ration cards as valid proof for voter registration in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar, ahead of its Assembly elections scheduled for October or November this year.
