India’s Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, stressed on the importance of developing indigenous drones to gain an upper hand over adversaries during military conflicts, according to a Times of India report.

“Today’s warfare has to be fought with tomorrow’s technology,” he said, emphasising that continuous research and development (R&D) is key to securing a nation’s borders.
